Vocabulary

Law firm – a company of lawyers
e.g. My wife works as a lawyer with a company, and a law firm gave phone batteries as a gift to them.

Compromise – when some people disagree and have to decide on something that is not quite what either side wanted
e.g. I wanted Sichuan food, but my wife wanted Hunan food. So instead, we compromised and had Shanghainese food.

Deal – when you agree to something (noun); to try to agree to something (verb); or to deal with someone, work with (verb)

Deal with – to solve a problem, to figure something out, to handle
e.g. There’s a problem down at the factory, and I’m pretty busy today. Do you think you could go deal with it?

Profit – the money that you get from doing business after you pay all of your costs (materials, employees, etc.)

Optimistic – someone who always thinks that something good is coming, or that something good is possible
e.g. I think we should be more optimistic and expect good profits this year.
Pessimistic – the opposite of optimistic; someone who always thinks the worst

When you want to use a verb to make a complex noun, you use the -ing form:
e.g. This is a good way of making money
e.g. What I like is having a comfortable couch

On Thursday I was unhappy with my friend. Do you know Daigou? Government add a tax and the products are very expensive. So some people will buy the products in the other countries because they are cheaper than in China. My friend and me have a cooperation. We buy the products in Korea and take them to China and sell to others, but on Thursday there was a conflict of the benefit/money between us. So I think I need to give up this way what can I make money, because I don’t want to lose my friend. But maybe my friend angry with me because she will send the advertisement in the WeChat. I can see all of the advertisements before, but now I can’t see the advertisement she send. So, I think we have some problem. We are friend and we are also like business partner. There is a problem: money and friend you want to choose what?
