OpenF2F Class Notes 6th April (Celeste)
Vocabulary
long line / long queue
I dropped – I gave up / I changed my mind
Have you made up your mind?
Did you make up your mind?
Can you make up your mind?
Writing exercise
After a maternity leave, I am very glad to come back to SE class, and restart my English study. I found it’s difficult to talk with my teacher fluently because I hadn’t used English for 1 year. I forgot a lot of words, even the basic ones. For some words, I need to think them very hard. I know they are hidden deep in my mind, but I can’t use them very smartly. For English speaking, you can use words only after you are very familiar with them.

After (my) maternity leave, I am very glad to come back to SE class, and restart my English studies. I found it’s difficult to talk with my teachers fluently because I hadn’t used English for 1 year. I forgot a lot of words, even the basic ones.
For some vocabulary, I need to try to find them in my brain.
For some vocab, I need to dig deep in my memory to find them.
For some vocab, I need to explore/search my brain to locate them.
I know they are hidden deep in my mind, but I can’t use them very wisely/correctly/precisely/perfectly/quickly. For English speaking, you can use words only after you are very familiar with them.
