OpenF2F Class Notes 6th April (Celeste)

  1. Tell me about yourself?

I graduated with a bachelor ‘s degree in painting. I have over 5 years of professional digital advertising experience in 4A. I worked for lots of global brands, for instance the coca-cola group, the Uniliver group, Weyth and Phillips. I handled many different kinds of campaigns, including, IMC campaign, EC campaign, the social planning and operation campaign for Phillips and Braun. I knew the whole campaign process from pitch to postbuy experience. The details were about strategy, development, management and optimization of projects.

During these 5 years, there were 3 key skills which helped me stand out. Primarily independent thinking, it helps me consider things from different perspectives. The second would be management skill, it helps me get everything under control. The last one would be attention to detail, it improves the quality of my work.

I believe that communication and coordination skills are important as well. I honed the five aforementioned abilities and used them in work. I got lots of great feedback from clients, I built a good reputation which got some new business for my last company.

Additionally, I am a passionate and friendly person, I always spread this kind of positive attitude at work. I am interested in Nike’s advertising style and methods. I am honored to have this opportunity.

2, Why did you leave your last job?

I handled the annual planning and operation social campaigns for Phillips and Braun . The whole work was about content planning, preparing cooking ingredients , taking photos, editing content in the service system and QC . Because the scope of the project was limited , my work became routine. I love challenges, I don’t like to stay in the comfort zone.

3, What are your major achievements?

I have a good reputation and rapport with clients. I was proud to be in charge of the “Natural †campaign, a sensitive body wash and lotion brand under UL group.
First of all, my former colleague worked on that campaign, but there was an issue – the design page was not good enough for the client, who ended up complaining about it. So, our GM handed it over to me. I reviewed the objective, background and brand tone of that campaign. I knew about the purpose for awareness because it was a global and new baby brand just entering the China market from Europe. I researched some similar reference ,recommend my strategic thinking and discussed them with creative colleagues. Eventually, the clients wrote an email to praise me. Because of that ,My last company became a long term agency. I am so proud of that.

4,How do you get things done?
When you take a brief from client , what you will do?

1,Thinking deeply – finding potential information and the scope of the brief
2, Discussed with other team to brainstorm
3, Quality control for the final Idea and proposal

5, How do you manage yourself?

At the beginning of every year, I set up my annual plan. How to grow up at work by myself is part of my annual plan. The goal can be to win and accomplish 3-5 projects in a year, to establish good relationships with clients, or to read some advertising books to raise my value and make myself hard to be replaced. And also I try to find a balance between life and my health.
