I has been working for the hospitality industry for almost entire of my life. Original I am from TW. I moved to Shanghai already 7 years. now I am working for IHG. I need to do a lot of communication from the regional perspective about the sales and marketing part to let my leaders what is the situation happen in China and I need to bring the Chinese to overseas hotel. So English is my basically communicate tool because all of my supervisors is foreigners.
I need to write very formal emails for the communication daily and grammar is part of my biggest issue.
I also need to attend international meetings and before I want to speak out I need to try to correct a lot of time to make sure that when I speak out the grammar is correct.
I like travel, I travel a lot and I care about my life and working balance and on weekends I like to go to good restaurants and the bars for the fine dining maybe.
I think last in the beginning of July I just back from BJ and Chengdu and tomorrow I need to fly to TW which is my hometown and for the august I need to fly to Japan and for September in Australia. some of them is my personal trips but most of them are for business purposes.
It depends on which city I am there, if in Australia I will be maybe one more time to stay there but if chengdu or Beijing I just want to go back.

I also need to attend international meetings and before saying something it takes me a long time to find the correct grammar
I like to travel, I travel a lot and I care about my life and working balance and on weekends I like to go to good restaurants and bars for the fine dining.
I think my last trip was  in the beginning of July I just came back from BJ and Chengdu and tomorrow I need to fly to TW which is my hometown and for August I need to fly to Japan and for September to Australia. some of them are my personal trips but most of them are for business purposes.
It depends on which city I go to, if  it is  Australia I will be maybe stay one more day/extend my trip by one day there but if it’s chengdu or Beijing I just want to go back as soon as possible.

Hope this E-mail finds you well.
As we know from the last appointment in Beijing with Lychee.com, they are the hotel service provider for China UnionPay Premium Cardholders .
To ensure the right direction to cooperate with the right partner, I have met with UnionPay International on this week, below is my recap form the meeting with them.

What’s Unionpay ?
Unionpay is the Global Payment Network (same as VISA, AMEX ,MASTER) has covered 174 countries and issued Unionpay cards in more than 52 countries and regions through cooperation with more than 2000 global institutions.
With total around 7.4 billion Unionpay cards , about 25 million Premium Cardholders cards and about 10% (2.5 million ) are Diamond.

What’s their business model? How are their teams/department handling for?
Since 2010, Unionpay wants to develop more overseas spend to earn the exchange rate as well as to increase the overseas Cardholders , they deviled into two company to China UnionPay and UnionPay International and both regional office are located in Shanghai with same building.
The KPI for China UnionPay : To increase the China domestic cardholders spend in China domestic, including any partnership of domestic product , hotels , restaurant , theme park etc.
The KPI for UnionPay International : To increase the China domestic and overseas cardholders spend at overseas , including any overseas partnership , dining , lifestyle , hotels , restaurant , travel etc.. and roll out the UnionPay using channel around the world.

What’s the character of Lychee.com for Unionpay ?
As we know the Unionpay International just launch form 2012, but before that, Lychee.com already got his connection to approach China UnionPay and sign service contract with them , so before Unionpay International, Yes ,He is the only hotel service provider from Unionpay, but form 2102 UnionPay International got the same mission to growth overseas spend and start to find the international hotel chain to cooperation by themselves . also from Unionpay International information, the contract between China UnionPay and Lychee.com will be expires for next year, and is really hard to say if they want to extend the contract or merge the Lychee.com because of their direct connectivity system . the most important part before Lychee.com get involve with Unionpay International, his KPI is = China UnionPay to is only focus in China domestic. Furthermore, if we know here is the short cut to cooperation with Unionpay International directly why we needs to ask for 3rd party ?

What’s the next actions ?
a) Launch the U Collection partnership promotion from all Minor Hotels prospective
b) Exposure on – UPI Home Page Banner , 17 key banks and other 3rd party, Wechat and App of UnionPay
c) Roll out the Unionpay payment channel access for all of our 500+ hotels
d) Bring in Minor F&B , Lifestyle partnership promotion together

Following the Beijing meeting with Lychee.com which is the hotel service provider for China UnionPay Premium Cardholders and to ensure that we form good strategic partnerships I met with UnionPay International this week.
Please find below a recap of the meeting.

What’s Unionpay ?
Unionpay is a Global Payment Network (same as VISA, AMEX ,MASTER) it covers 174 countries and issues Unionpay cards in more than 52 countries and regions through cooperations with more than 2000 global institutions.

Since 2010, Unionpay wants to develop more overseas.

They want to earn a commission on overseas transaction which require currency swaps and to increase overseas Cardholders , they are divided into two company: China UnionPay and UnionPay International and both regional offices are located in Shanghai in the/within the same building.
The KPI for China UnionPay is to increase the Chinese domestic cardholders spendings domestically, including any partnership with domestic products , hotels , restaurants , theme parks etc.
The KPI for UnionPay International it to increase the Chinese domestic and overseas cardholders spendings overseas , including any overseas partnerships , dining , lifestyles , hotels , restaurants , trips etc.. and roll out the UnionPay using channels around the world.

What’s the relationship  between Lychee.com and Unionpay ?
As we know Unionpay International just launched in 2012, but before that, Lychee.com already got his connection to approach China UnionPay and sign service contracts with them , so before Unionpay International.
Lychee.com was the only hotel service provider for Unionpay, but from 2012 UnionPay International got the same mission to grow overseas spend and start to find international hotel chains to cooperate with by themselves . also from the information I got from Unionpay International, the contract between China UnionPay and Lychee.com will expire next year, and it is really hard to say if they want to extend the contract or acquire Lychee.com because of their direct connectivity system .
the most important part is that how the relationship between lychee.com and union pay will evolve in the future is unclear.

Lychee.com gets involved with Unionpay International, Lychee’s KPI is focused on China domestic.
Furthermore, if we know this is a short cut to cooperate with Unionpay International directly why do we needs to ask for a 3rd party ?
