Vocabulary

Hands-on (adjective) – something involve manual labor, using your hands to do something

Ex. Graphic design involves a lot of designing on computers, but creating the finish product involves a lot of hands-on work.

Nationwide (adjective) – existing all over the country

Ex. In order to attend law school in China, you must first pass a nationwide test.

Tuition (noun) – the fee you have to may in order to take classes

Ex. My scholarship only covers tuition, so I have to pay for my room and board (apartment and food).

Full-ride – a scholarship that covers tuition, room, and board; the student has to pay nothing

Ex. My brother is so smart, he got a full-ride at Harvard!

Isolated (adjective) – far away and separate
