I haven’t decided yet but I usually I go back to Jiansu for CNY. But, it is not as interesting as before especially when I was a child. I remember there are many programmes during the new year holidays. Some of them were really good traditional programmes and we also have many traditional customs. For example, when you put many new red paper on the doors. Usually, it says many good sentences which will involve many good wishes on the next year. At the New Years eve, we should do many things to prepare for the first day of the new year. We should get the bus on that day and ready the new clothes. Parents prepare many food such as fish and a lot of meat and lot of nuts. We usually watch the New Years programmes together with many things prepared.

At the first day of the New Year, we were informed that we couldn’t say anything that sounds not good. We usually don’t clean anything and leave the rubbish there. We only eat and say the wishes to the relatives. At the second day, we usually went to the mother’s home. When I was a child, there was a play very familiar in Jiansu and Anhui. It is another kind of Chinese play. It sounds like very soft.
