Writing exercise

Battery retail, my top 2 customer, 49K target with 109% SFO. A very tough one to engage with. A previous AGT customer but the experience wasn’t smooth.

Situation: I worked out the ads optimization plan with their A-levels but it wasn’t put into action after 1 week. I asked them if everything was okay, and then the A-level created a WeChat group which had me/included me, the A-level, the tech person, and the C-level. They started to challenge me on smart bidding very aggressively. (Link to the chat scripts)

Task: To address their concerns and put the plan into action.

MO: Their MO is to increase sales from 40 to 100. (knowing this is very important because I sticked with their MO during the entire hard conversion)

Actions:
1). Before answering their questions, I made sure that I had understood their concerns.
2). I explained the working logics of smart bidding and conversion tracking.
3). Having done that, I offered them shopping feeds optimization services from the tag team. And then I asked them if they’d like to give it a try and asked them what they thought about it.

Results: We reached an agreement. We’ll put the plan into action and test smart shopping campaigns

Learning:
1). We all have encountered tough conversations. To steer the conversion by sticking with the customer’s MO.
2). Hold our positions firmly. Don’t be afraid. Be professional no matter the attitude of the client.
