Today I took an annual leave. / took a day off.
I made an appointment.
when the dentist treats your teeth you have to open your mouth  / you have to keep you mouth opened wide

I saw some people fall and other people step on them.

They are rushing for the food. the food is not enough for all of them so they have to run -> there isn’t enough food for all of them

even there are so many people but they are well organized. they are waiting. everything was put in an order ->even though there are many people there are well organized / there are many people but they are well organized

I have never heard of a food bank in China.
When the virus broke out there was a shortage of face masks but at that time the first thing the government did was to tell people to stay home. /

the told them not to go outside without face masks and offered face masks to everyone but there was still a big shortage of masks so they had to sign their name in each community and waited home until the community called you to buy them. / they coordinated the distribution with each community

But each family could only buy 5-6 one time. -> could only buy 5-6 at once

my company provided masks for all of us

Many companies imported a big batch of face masks at the very beginning.
But when it entered the customs they were confiscated
