Vocabulary

休息 – a break, vacation
e.g. After playing soccer for half an hour, I need a break!
e.g. There is not much work at this time of the year, so I get to take a long vacation.
— A break is a short time without work (like for lunch)
— A vacation is a workday where you don’t have to work (normally Monday – Friday)

调休 – extra vacation to balance extra work
e.g. Since we had to work overtime this week, we get extra vacation days next week.

气球 – balloon; a round object, full of gas (He), usually which stays up in the air
e.g. For my son’s birthday, I bought lots of colored balloons.

Float – to stay on top of water, or to stay up in the air (like flying, but without moving)
e.g. Boats float on water, and balloons filled with Helium (He) float in air.

Weekday – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Grammar

To – after words like “need” or “want” you should use “to”
e.g. I need to go to the store.
