Vocabulary

Enter – to physically go into some place
e.g. I entered the school from the north side.
Entrance – the noun form; the place where you enter a building from

Access – more general, being able to get into something (both buildings and websites, for example)
e.g. I am not able to access Google from Mainland China.
e.g. I have an access key for this building because I work in company on the 10th floor.

Meaning – the definition of something, what it is trying to express (noun)
e.g. The meaning of this word is “definition.”

Means – (noun) the way that you get some result
e.g. We will do this by any means necessary! (We will do anything to get this result.)
e.g. We do not have the means to produce this kind of furniture right now. (We don’t have the money, or the factory equipment, or something else)

Facility – a large place for doing some type of activity; bigger than equipment, including the whole building, or a group of buildings
e.g. We are going to the sports facility today to play basketball (they also have places to run, to play soccer, to play badminton, to lift weights, to swim, etc.)

Equipment – the tools for doing something
e.g. We have a bag with all of our baseball equipment. It has our bats, gloves, balls, shoes, etc.
e.g. In this factory we have some new equipment that can make different types of furniture.

On a daily basis – everyday
e.g. We will need to review our furniture sales on a daily basis until we figure out which pieces will be popular.

Stage vs. Situation – “Stage” is a time period with some features, characteristics, each part has a goal; “Situation” is just the relationship between different conditions, how things are
e.g. The writing process has a few stages: first, we have to come up with a good idea. Then, we have to plan how to research that idea. Then, we have to write up a draft. Then we have to edit the paper.
e.g. This is a difficult situation, because there are a lot of people who want many different things. Not everyone is going to be happy in the end.

Daily work – to talk about some specific tasks that you do everyday

In daily job I have some choice to speak English. I have speak English in my daily work. Projects discuss and talk about daily tasks. Actually, our designer is a foreigner, so we spoke English in daily job. A few times, not too much. Due to the internal adjustment, I will focus on new fields for business, for product management. It’s home furniture, like bed, sofa, and cabinets. This kind of products. When I still in the starting for my business, so the best will be living room products like sofa, coffee table, sidebar. We started business at the end of last year, December. We have three months, but we still test market and adjust our products. Actually, the market is change every day. There is many change in the market.
