Rancor (noun) – very strong negative feelings; hatred, ill will, bitterness
e.g. A lawyer has to exercise discretion regarding when to pursue a case vigorously and when to try to end it early to avoid the creation of rancor within a good relationship.

Scapegoat – one person you can put all the blame on and kill as a form of escaping the guilt
e.g. Though guilt in East Asia is often considered a collective affair, the individual actually did the crime and becomes the scapegoat for the community’s guilt.
Stereotype – what people from a certain group are usually thought to look like (sometimes offensive)

— “Serial” means a chain of something in some order; so a “serial killer” means someone who kills many people
— “Serious” means like “really” a killer, or a very bad person or something, so it’s possible to say that too, but less common
