Vocabulary

Homework – schoolwork that you do at home
e.g. I have a lot of math homework to do tonight.
Chores – work you have to do around the house for the family
e.g. Washing dishes, washing clothes, cleaning the bathroom, taking out the garbage

Fast / Instant Noodles – ones you only need to boil water to make

Bathe / Shower / Take a shower / Take a bath – all ok

You can’t teach an old dog new tricks – once someone is grown up, it is hard for them to learn new skills, or to learn a new way of life
e.g. Maybe I can’t teach my husband to peel an apple now. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, you know…

Tidy up – to clean up, 收拾
Tide – when the ocean level goes up and down during the day

Pit – the place where a racecar stops to change tires and check engine levels, etc.
Pit Stop – when you make a short stop to check something or get supplies (snacks, gas, use the bathroom, etc.), sort of like in a race

Grammar

Prepare a set of new dress – prepared a new dress / prepare a new set of clothes

I will wore it – I would wear it (past) / I will wear it
I will went to the market – will go
— Whenever you use “will,” put the next verb in the present
If I left home – if I leave, then I will . . .
— The “if” has a feeling of future, but speaks generally

— Usually, “for” is a reason, “to” is a direction
