This month, IKEA opened its first urban store named IKEA City in Shanghai.
Last weekend, after my english class, I had a small trip to the newest IKEA store.

There was a lot of people around the entrance. Yes, a huge line.

Despite the scorching heat,I still be lining up and waiting for more than an hour. I was so excited when I entered the store, because I just wanted to find a place to cold down myself as soon as possible，It was super hot out！

This store was absolutely a lot smaller than a normal IKEA, it means you couldn’t find the full range here.Don’t fret, you could choose the rest what you want in-store and ordered online or through WeChat.

The store covers three floors, and keeps the fashional and simple style same as other IKEA stores. Because of too much shelfs and stuff were set into the small space, it looks a little bit messy.

Actually what i really come for was the IKEA’s newest snacks which I heard from my friends.Especially the Cold Dog, ice cream was full into a hot bun, it really seemed to go down a treat.

But what visit to IKEA is complete without Swedish meat balls and mashed potato?
Although the store was much smaller, there was a cute and pleasant restaurant with a nice view. You could sit here and overlook the Jing’an temple across the street. I thought it was a perfect location for a coffee time or an informal meeting.

A designed wall which was painted full with home pattern, was my favorite.When you touched a mushroom light on the wall, a lot of color of the melody squirted from the top of the mushroom, and also wardrobe, shelf were same.Fucking awesome!!

Finally, nothing I bought that day, there was too crowded. I don’t want to fight with Dama and uncles, I wanna be an elegant lady and just want to have an afternoon coffee!

Well, that was my little adventure of IKEA City. I spent 1 hour to line up, but I just spent 15min in walking around this building，it’s too small !
Let me call that Tiny IKEA.

And the highlight is the cold dog. It tastes very good, and it’s very affordable considering the location of the store. Love it terribly!

This store was definitely a lot smaller/much smaller than a normal IKEA, this means that you couldn’t find the full range of their products over here. Don’t fret, you could choose among the things in-store and the rest you could order online or through WeChat.

In the end, I bought nothing, it was too crowded. I didn’t want to fight with ladies and uncles, I want to be an elegant lady myself and just want to have an afternoon coffee!
