I got a really interesting gift on my last birthday. That’s Tom Of Finland’s Doll which is based on the artwork of Tom Of Finland. It’s made of the highest quality materials，and that make the surface feels great to touch. The doll features a flexible butt, neck, knees, hands, feet, and some interchangeable penises which is the funniest part of it I think.

Tom Of Finland is my favorite artwork of gay, it was created by a great Finnish artist named Touko whose works became the symbols for gay pride. Also, he is one of the most influential and famous figures of 20-century of gay culture.

A film named Tom Of Finland was released in 2017. It’s an amazing and touching biography about Touko who is the important to the gay community. This movie is better than I imagined. As an art production, it has a very solid and creative feel. Of course it’s a great surprise for me who just knew Tom’s work, I never knew the dramatic stories behind it. The film shows to the audience the sense of gay oppression in Finland around that period and the dangers that gays have to live with. It is too slow at the beginning and when they finally start to tell Tom’s popularity the pass it too quickly and easily in the movie. Also the era of AIDS and eighties is told too easily and quickly. In the second half of the film which is based in America, it all opens out and it’s getting better than the first half. It has a real feel good about it.

Tom of Finland is a wonderful, touching movie. If you love the artwork of Tom’s, you should watch it.

As a piece of art, it has a very solid and creative feel to it. Of course the movie was a great surprise for me who just started discovering Tom’s work/just starting to know Tom’s work, I didn’t knew dramatic stories behind his work. The film gives to the audience The taste of gay oppression in Finland during that period and dangers which gays have to live through. The movie is slow at the beginning and when they finally start telling about Tom’s popularity, and success the movie comes to a sudden end. Also the era of AIDS and eighties is portrayed/presented briefly . In the second half of the film which taking place in America, the story develops and it’s getting better than the first half. It has a real feel about it.
