ex: The recession has caused thousands of bankruptcy.

4. nearly= almost
ex: He nearly knocked me down at the corner = he almost knocked me down
ex: I go to see my grandmother nearly every week.= I see her almost every week.

5. hardly= almost didn’t
ex: I could hardly sleep=  I couldn’t sleep

I went to a business trip, I fly to Singapore this Tuesday and stayed for four days in Singapore. I met many clients of my company there. We talked about the Chinese stock market, the clients were very interested about the Chinese economy, and how it will be in the future. Most of my clients were afraid of the growth of the Chinese economy will decrease in the second half of this year, that will hurt performance of the stock market. I have a different opinion, I explained the reason. The Chinese government has taken many measures to keep the growth of the economy stable. China has so many people so it’s a big market, if we do things well, the Chinese economy will still have potential to grow in the future. Especially for the big giants in the technology industry like Huawei and Alibaba, they are very competitive, they have lots of talent, they will a good team to go through the trade war.

The trip is very busy, I nearly had 6-8 meetings everyday. I usually start at 8-9 am, and finish about 6 pm of the day. I felt tired. At evening, I stayed at my hotel and have a rest.

For the big giants in the technology industry like Huawei and Alibaba, they have a lot of capitals, assets, and talents, they will a strong team to stand up to the trade war.
