Vocabulary

1. attendance= 出席
ex: In Canada, we have to do attendance for every class. The teacher will call your name, and you say “here”.
ex: I’m a member of student union, so I have do attendance during the meeting

2. frustrating= 烦躁的
ex: I hate going to useless meetings, it’s very frustrating.
ex: My mom always tells me to sleep early, it’s frustrating.
ex: I don’t like the student in our class, I think her behavior is very frustrating.

3. refresh= 刷新
ex: I need to refresh the page to see the updated notes.
ex: When I browse TaoBao, the page disappeared so I need to refresh the page.

4. update= 更新
ex: I need to update the PPT, because I found some new information.
ex: I use iPhone so I have to update the IOS system.

5. orientation meeting= 新生报到会
ex: We have an orientation meeting today, all of the students must attend.
ex: As a new student, I have to attend the orientation meeting.

6. browse= 瞎看看
ex: If you go to Zara, you can tell the salesperson, “I’m just browsing“.
ex: I like to browse Weibo everyday.
ex: I like to browse Taobao everyday and send my mom the links.

7. earphones= 耳机
ex: I like to wear my earphones when I listen to music.
ex: I gave my mom the link for the earphones.

8. headphones=🎧
ex: I don’t like to wear headphones because my hair will look ugly.
ex: I hate headphones because I think they look stupid.

Suddenly, I have two meetings about new students of our major, as a grade 2 students, we will go two meetings about new students of our major, as a grade 2 students, we will listen it for more than 4 times, so I think these two meetings are very annoying for me. I can’t come to Smart English to have class. I’m afraid if I told my teacher, she will kill me. The meeting held almost 2 hours. At 12 o’clock, we began the meeting and finished at 2 o’clock.

National Holiday, maybe I will with my mother go to some place. We want to go to Guangxi because it’s  a place it’s very beautiful. On National Day, the air ticket is so expensive. If the ticket is expensive, maybe I will go back to my grandmother’s home, it’s in ChongMing island.

At 12 o’clock, we began the meeting and finished at 2 o’clock.

During the National Holiday, maybe I will with my mother go to some places with my mother. We want to go to Guangxi because there is a beautiful place it’s very beautiful. On National Day, the plane ticket is so expensive. If the ticket is expensive, maybe I will go back to my grandmother’s home, it’s on ChongMing island.
