Vocabulary

1. overdue= past the due date
ex:  the homework is overdue.

2. outbreak= something spread very fast
ex: we have a virus outbreak in the world, so we should protect ourselves when we go out.

3. utensils= the tools you use to eat
ex: spoons, chopsticks, forks are utensils.

4. normal= regular 正常的
ex: it’s just normal of work.
ex: we are all normal people.

5. fear= scared 恐惧
ex: i fear the dark, so i always have my lights on.

6. scoop= 球／勺
ex: would you like one scoop or two scoops of ice-cream?
ex: I would like two scoops of vanilla ice-cream.

7. stead of= 与其
ex: I want to go to Japan instead of Canada.
ex: I want to go to Australia instead of America.

how can you change a bad habit

I think I should make me do more good habit. I don’t like doing exercises, so nowadays, I should do exercise everyday, like skip a rope, running and swimming.

This habit will be hard to change as it is part of family life for millennia. I have even observed this behavior in Chinese communities in California. The Chinese restaurants would provide serving spoons but the Chinese guests would just use their own chopsticks.

Banning it would be impossible to enforce unless the serving trays are changed to accommodate a large number of guests with lots of small cups of food instead of one large dish. This would be similar to ordering food in a choose-and-pick joint where the guests would choose their food by picking cups of food which is placed in their own tray. So hypothetically, all orders should indicate the number of guests and the dish would be served in a tray with lots of small cups which guests would then choose-and-pick. Serving dimsum also works this way.

Last year, my friend hold a birthday party in the Pizza Hut. There were many balloons there. First, everyone gave him birthday presents and I gave him a pencil case. Next, we all ate many chicken wings, pizzas and icecream. Then we played some games and we had a good time because we were all happy. Finally we must ate birthday cake and the birthday cake was make of chocolate, so it was very yummy.
