Vocabulary

1.caramel = 焦糖
ex: you can make a caramel cookie.

2. creme brulee= 焦糖布丁
ex: I love to have creme brulee at a french restaurant.

3. live broadcasting = 直播
ex: I was invited to a live broadcasting on SouHu.

4. no brainer= 没脑子的人
ex: he’s a no brainer, he got tricked two times.

5. gap= 缝隙
ex: generation gap/ age gap
ex: gap year= take a year off

6. drawn to= 被吸引
ex: he is drawn to models.
ex: Elva is drawn to young men.

Reading

What did you want to be when you were growing up? A doctor, an engineer – or maybe a footballer or actor? We all had big plans for our futures and believed there was a dream job waiting for us – one that would pay well and give great job satisfaction. But how realistic was that?

Today, in the UK at least, young people are being warned that some of their career hopes and dreams don’t match the types of jobs available. Research by the charity Education and Employers suggests five times as many 17 and 18 year-olds in the UK want to work in artcultureentertainment and sport than there are jobs.
