For this week, we only go to the office for 3 days. The students ahve to stay at home and have lessons on internet. I think the learning quality on internet is worse than face to face class. Without the face to face class, we have to teach her English by ourselves. It’s really tough and difficult thing for us. We haven’t learned these words before, like some animals. It’s a good opporutnity for us to increase our vocabulary at the same time. At before, I didn’t know how to say “chang jing lu”, it’s giraffe. It’s learned from my daughter’s book.

Now we are preparing the salary review for our staff, but the increasement rate is really low than before. The number is based on the CPI of 2009, so the number is only 2%. We decide to tell them next week. The increasement of CPI is obvious, espeically when you go to the supermarket, you can find the price of pork is really expensive, maybe the double price than last year. Based on this situation, I think our staff may feel upset to hear of the news for this year’s salary review. For lots of foreign companies, they don’t have any headcount for Q1 or Q2. A lot of employees who are not Shangainese will come back to their hometown.
