Vocabulary

1. confiscate (verb)= 没收
ex: The teacher will confiscate your phone if you use it in class.
ex: the customs confiscated the masks for the country.

2. paramedics= 医护人员
ex: The masks will be given to the paramedics.

3. face mask= 口罩😷
ex: I bought 500 face masks from Astonia.

4. workload= 工作量
ex: Our workload is reduced due to the coronavirus.
ex: I have a heavy workload today.

Maybe we will have one more week to stay at home, just work from home. Because of the coronavirus, some of our stores are closed now, globally we are reduced budget for the next two months. Our work is also reduced, because no money, we can do nothing. We had some big events, but now it has to be cancelled. It really affect the retail industry, we have a lot of stores, customers stay at home, they don’t go out and shopping, our sales will reduce. We hope it can recover soon.

I was very lucky because I go back to China one week ago from my Northern Euorpe trip. Our flight was canceled due to the virus, but we luckily changed another flight, so we came back to Shanghai as original flight. Our company encourage us to stay at home until 17 Feb.

Our workload is also reduced, because we have no sales, we can do nothing. We had some big events, but now it has to be cancelled. It really affects the retail industry, we have a lot of stores, but customers are staying at home, they don’t go out to shop, our sales are dropping/ declining. We hope it can recover soon.
