Although the English learning at primary school, I think it’s very easy. They need to finish grammar problems everyday, I don’t know whether it is good for them. There’s no time for them to read a lot and follow the radio. Some of the teachers think grammar is very important, they need to practice and practice more. The mid autumn examination is coming, too much practice. The students need to spend one or two hours to finish English homework. There’s no time for them to review, just like a machine to finish. As I know, there’s not a lot of time for them to open their mouth and speak English. They just sit in the classroom, listening to the teacher, just learn from chapter 1 to chapter 6. At the end, they need to pass the examination and have a good score.

Last week they have a test from school, the English teacher told us, the test is about to test the student their English level, the top three will have opportunity to attend a competition. Most of the parents think this is a good opportunity to improve their children’s English level, but at the end, the children who attend to that competition, they just need to have a presentation in Chinese. When I was a student, we thought the participation from school is the proper channel. This time, we know that parents need to take care of it, you need to choose the right option for your children which is suitable for them.
