We need to practice using the present perfect tense and past simple tense. The past simple tense can be used to say when something happened, but the present perfect tense cannot be used with exact times. Example: They went to Paris in 2013. They have been to Paris.

Practice using the continuous tense and past simple tense to talk about one thing that happened quickly while another thing contniued to happen. Example: I was having lunch when I saw a bird. Structure – Someone was + verb + ing + when + verb (past tense).
