Vocabulary

setting (noun) – the time or place where the movie happened
What was the setting of the movie?

set (verb) – to make the movie happen in a time or place
The movie was set at the birth of the new China.

The Americans wanted to break the bridge
They broke the bridge many times
The bridge has been broken in different ways

build / built/ built
The Chinese decided to build a new bridge
After the bridge was broken, the Chinese built it again
They have built only one bridge

broken – adj
The bridge is broken, so they can’t get across

across – adv
When someone goes across the bridge they get killed

cross – verb
It is dangerous to cross the bridge

against – adv – closer than ‘next to’.
They were fighting against the Americans.
The cat is sitting against the window.
