I noticed a piece of news which was about the ranking of social media in America. According to the report of Piper Sandler, in the youth group， the ranking of “ the most popular social media” is changed, now the top3 platforms are: Snapchat, Tiktok and Instagram. And for Facebook, which has boomed in past years, has declined. I went through the report and got some findings: The teenage love to share something which was interesting promptly, but don’t want to keep it for a longtime as they always want to refresh their mind, that’s why snapchat can be the No.1 social media. Besides this，we also can find that the teenage of USA like to express themselves through short videos and pictures, instead of write an article. That’s the reason why Tiktok and Instagram’s ranking increased to top2 and top3. From the report, I realized that the communication tools changed faster and faster. As a person with PR and marketing background, I must pay attention to the change, otherwise I will lose competitiveness in youth market.
