Writing exercise

Recently I’ve been re-reading the book the road less traveled written by a therapist pike to improve my vocab. After the late night dodgy “Hi” from my boss, I started to give damning assessment of him.
I think this book is one of the most profound / relevant books I have read in the past years.
The first time I read it was back to 10 years ago, when I just entered college, my dad gave it to me for my self-learning of maturity. But I felt I was too young for that book back to that time, but when I re-read the book these days, I felt it is much more provoking than before.
It emphasizes firstly on independent thinking with criticizing 90% of the people are too afraid to be different in the crowd, so they reconcile with the world by quitting their own point of views. Independent thinking, from his perspectives, are more relevant to listening thru absorbing others’ comments and create your own thoughts. But what’s important that independent thinking need more courage and discipline to persist, and that requires practices. So the writer spends 2 hours a day to meditate priorities in life and ponder on life’s critical questions.

Recently I’ve been re-reading the book the road less traveled written by a therapist named Pike to improve my vocab. After the late night dodgy “Hi” from my boss, I started to give damning assessments of him.
I think this book is one of the most profound / relevant psychological books I have read in the past years / over the last few years
The first time I read it was 10 years ago / was back when I was around 18, when I just entered college, my dad gave it to me and said it’s a must read book for my self-learning of maturity. But I felt I was too young for that book back at that time, but when I re-read it recently / as I have been reading it these days, I felt it is much more thought-provoking than before.
Firstly it emphasizes on independent thinking, criticizing the 90% of the people who are too afraid to be different from the crowd / to stand out in a crowd, so they reconcile with the world by giving up their own points of view. Independent thinking, from his perspective, is more related to listening through absorbing others’ comments and creating your own thoughts. But what’s important is that independent thinking needs more courage and discipline to persist, which requires practices. So the writer spends 2 hours a day to meditate on the priorities in life and ponder on life’s critical questions.
