Vocabulary

family outing: (n) family hang-out.. maybe to a far place
ie. This is our first family outing since the virus outbreak.

presentable:  能见人的
ie. My mom is coming so put on a shirt and make yourself presentable.

carnivores：食肉动物

fierce： 凶猛的; 凶狠的
ie. There are a lot of fierce carnivores in the SH Wildlife Zoo.

field: 田; 地; 牧场; (作某种用途的) 场地; (覆盖…的或有…的) 大片地方
ie. The animals live on a large field.

safety measure: 安全措施
ie. There are a lot of safety measures in the zoo to make sure people are not hurt by the animals.

fearful: full of fear
ie. The American government is fearful of a nation-wide(adj) protest/ protest across the nation/country.

waiver: (对合法权利或要求的) 弃权; 弃权声明  (v) waive
ie. Before you enter the zoo, you have to sign a waiver.

braces: 牙套
ie. I got new braces yesterday.

consult: 咨询  (person) consultant
ie. I consulted with many dentists before getting my braces.

Grammar

haven’t – do not use unless for tense， it is a 时态，not for 有没有

ing vs ed
ie. Lily is boring. (She’s not interesting… doesn’t joke, doesn’t talk etc.)
ie. Lily is bored. (She feels bored… maybe because she’s reading)
ie. I am very annoyed by the annoying kid.
ie. The boy is interested in you. The movie is very interesting.

some:
1. counting… ie. I buy some bread. I see some children in the park.
2. 某些：specific ie. I really want to come tomorrow but someone is mad at me.

I haven’t gone there… I went to there with my daughter. We feed some some giraffes… My daughter fed them she didn’t be scared.
I haven’t been there for a long time/since my college(adj) days/since I was in college(n). I went there with my daughter. We fed the giraffes. My daughter fed them and she wasn’t scared./I thought she was going to be a little scared, but she wasn’t at all.

I think she might be a little scary. -> monsters, tigers… things that make others scared
I think she might be a little scared. -> a feeling you get

The SH zoo haven’t so many fierce animals.
There aren’t so many fierce animals in the SH zoo.

You can drive yourself car.
