I think China will be getting more important in the 21st century. Because it has the largest population among all countries. Its growth of economy is still very fast. So the Chinese economy is getting stronger. Some economy institutions estimate that the GDP of China will overcome that of America in around 2050. At that time China’s influence will significantly strong all of the world. The success of Chinese will give people worldwide another choice to develop their own country. China can be a great model to study for many other countries. From this aspect I think we can say the 21st century will be Chinese. However I don’t think Chinese will be an empire to conquer all of the world. Chinese people don’t want to control other countries. They just want to be friends with other countries to make a better world. Chinese people are very friendly. If you think about this through this angle, that phrase may be wrong. The 21st century does not belong to China, it belongs to the world.
