I used to tell my parents that I hoped to play an instrument such as the piano and/or guitar. They encouraged me to play, and I have learned to play guitar for a while. But I gave up, and the reason I gave up was that my fingers were too short to play the chords. After that, I always said that I really wished that I could play the guitar but it was impossible. One day, we watched a show on TV that about a man who had lost his arms. He was playing the guitar by with his toes! I was embarrassed that short fingers was just my excuse because where there’s a will, there’s a way.

Q: Tell me about a time, that you were hurt or betrayed by a close friend:

A: The last time that I was hurt by my friend was when I was very young, in middle school. Now I don’t think that it is very serious but at that time, I was hurt so much. My best friend always asked me to go to her house and I didn’t want to go. Our quarrel began from this. One day, I went to her house with another classmate because we wanted to use the computer to search something that the teacher asked us to do for homework. In our team, only she has a computer but she rejected us. My classmate and I were standing under the window at her house and she just opened the window and shouted to us that, “you can’t use my computer!”. So we left and didn’t do the homework, so we felt very embarrassed.

Q: What are the qualities that you look for in a best friend?

A: I hope that my friends are: honest, diligent and have some talent. I also want friends who can talk a lot to me. So she must be able to listen to me and talk to a lot to me. I also believe in star signs, the most popular star signs amongst my friends are: Capricorn (摩羯) and Gemini (双子). I want to collect all 12 star signs as my friends.
