Vocabulary

Series – a set of things, usually happening after each other

eg: I watch some tv shows. My favorite series is “How I met your Mother.” It’s funny because the show takes almost 10 seasons to answer that one question. Its a whole series about how one couple met.

eg: This series of paintings shows how the artist feels alone even in a crowded city.

Grammar

The Importance of Punctuation:

Comma – ,

eg: Society is changing, stay-at-home moms focus on kids.  (Two ideas: 1.Society has change   2. Mom’s focus on Kids)

eg: Society is changing stay-at-home moms focus on kids. (Society changes Moms? Society is focusing on kids?)

eg: Society is changing stay-at-home moms, focus on kids.  (Society is changing moms. Focus on kids???)

Diary
my cousin’s boy got a serious illness, a special cancer which is just happened for kids. I stunned when got this bad news. This experience was very strange, when you heard about a story for a kid who you don’t know just like a hundred thousand other little kids, so you just listen it as a story and then forget it. but now you knew this boy, and hugged and kissed him at one time, so this boy became unique. Even he is not my son, but I still have this kind of feeling.
Yesterday I went to hospital to see the boy, he laid still in the bed, said nothing but slept. His body under the big hospital pajama looks very thin, skinny almost. He was lost the kid’s glow and his face is white and peaked as if a colorful world went to a gray world only with black and white. some pain still can be found on his face but not serious. I still remember he ran at my home and played with my daughter, I almost heard his happy laughing. But now he was very quiet and only a machine connected him with some tubes.
His Mon looks not bad, smiled at me and said thank you but I can feel how anxious was for her. She sat on the bed, one hand touched the boy’s head and look at his face emotionally then murmured: “he will be ok” As if she just told herself, I know how pain in her heart, but I can do nothing.

Most people think about, you just stay at home and don’t earn money outside, so you should do the chores and look after the babies because there are your responsible.
