1. Why is painting important to people?
There are many people, especially children, learn to paint.

More than 50% of parents in shanghai thought that painting is a great way to develop children’s capability of art sense and creation. And the children with this kind of the capability is very important for the future world. Jobs said: every great product must be integrated technology and art; Apple products really prove that it is true. Painting as one branch of art has its status, whatever in the past, now or future.

I love painting although I didn’t learn it systemically, painting is not only a skill but also a good way to social, I made a lot of friends who like painting as well. It helps me to build my aesthetics taste, which is helpful for me on the job I work with.

2. Why did ancient people paint on walls?
The earliest painting was appeared in France 30000 years ago, the ancient people painted on the wall became a mystery puzzle. Most archeologists started to guess why did they paint on the wall?

Some of archeologist regard that painted on the wall to record their life and stories. The characters (letters) didn’t developed that day, people delivered information via words by words or painting, they wanted to tell others about the place where was dangerous, wild animals always come. But other archeologists said this kind of painting included a lots of painting skills, like the smooth line, the perfect proportion and shadow, so it was from a professional painter which proved the painting could be used to decorate the hole which they lived in

Based on the history I learned, people that time were living by hunting and their needs are low but painting or art is a higher-level needs. The reason that painted on the wall was recording the stories or their life. Because of no words or paper, painting on the wall was their only choice.
