Vocabulary
Get, Got – what you do, before you HAVE something. or… the action you need to take, to obtain.
Examples:
I have your phone. I got your phone (BOTH are TRUE)
Amy’s Examples:
He got a message from my boss.
My daughter never did get permission to watch TV for more than 30 minutes.
I got a gift from my husband.
Can I get a meeting with you? Can I get a word with you? (have a word with someone = speak to them)
Get to (a place) = arrive at a place
eg: I got to the plant yesterday.
eg: I plan to get to the park with my daughter this holiday.
What’s the difference between program and project?
A Program is like a business, it should keep running.
A Project is more short term, it has a start and end date.
Example: Their business has a lot of projects this month.
That program for Children’s reading has a big project they need help with.
