spoiled – had too much of a good thing, now thinks it is normal
eg: I think we got a little spoiled by having a heater in our apartment.
eg: Don’t buy him all those toys, he will get spoiled.
1st world problems – not really a big problem, compared to people who live in very poor countries.
eg: It really sucks we don’t have heat.

get + (ADJ.) – to become, or change into, for ONE MOMENT! used like be with the past participle of some verbs to form passive constructions. you don’t know who did the action, but you know it happened.
eg: Don’t get angry.
eg: your food is getting food.
eg: Get, fired, hired, killed, paid, married, sick, healthy, fat, skinny, angry.
welfare – a program where the gov’t helps poor people with their very basic needs
eg: I’m on welfare, so my free insurance won’t cover that surgery.
