license – a document that proves you can legally do something

eg: In Shanghai a driver’s license is expensive. License plates are also expensive, but you need them for your car.

blanket – covers, a square piece of fabric used to keep you warm

eg: A lot of the office workers bring a blanket to work.

acting – changing your behavior or character

eg: He acts serious, but really he’s a funny guy.

pretending – act like something is real

eg: Children like pretending that they can fight monsters and eating something. They also like to pretend to cook, drive and play house.

go through the motions – pretend to do all the steps of something, but don’t really do it, or accomplish anything.

eg: They are just going through the motions, but not getting any work done.

two-faced – you think you can trust this person, but they cheat you or betray you.

eg: I didn’t know he was two faced until he told the boss that I was being lazy and not working hard.
