Wavy – often used for hair that is not straight, and is a little rounded

eg: I went to the salon and asked them to give me a wavy hairstyle.

Curly – More rounded than wavy, small circles in hair.

eg: When I was little, my mom’s friend cut my hair, and it became curly after. I don’t know why.

straighten – make straight

eg: I got my hair straightened at the salon.

beard – facial hair

eg: “I shaved my beard last week” (Elinda Hu)

eyelashes – the hair on the top and bottom of your eyes

eg: Someone told me I could cut my eyelashes. They grew back out.

smooth – not rough, soft and good feeling

eg: Its hard to write on this desk because its not smooth.

eg: The plan didn’t go smoothly.

rough – a surface with many bumps and differences in shape

eg: The road from Beijing to Shenyang is very rough and bumpy, it’s an old road.

eg: We need to finish this project in one month, but we have so many things to do. It will be a rough road to finish this project.
