USE A NUMBER AS AN ADJECTIVE, IT MUST BE SINGULAR(only one):

It is a 5 hours drive.

It is a 5 hour drive.      (hour, is Singular, because it is part of an ADJ. to describe the DRIVE (N.)

Its a long(ADJ) drive(N).

It is a 40 minute class.

I have a 9 hour work day tomorrow.

I had two jobs, which meant I worked a 13 hour work day.

I have a 5 person car.     My car can fit 5 people.

I have a 5 seat car.    My car has 5 seats.

Cup, is Singular

Cups, is Plural (more than one)
