Vocabulary

drink / drinking / drank / will drink
eg. I drink coffee everyday.
eg. Celeste is drinking coffee right now.
eg. This morning, I drank coffee.
eg. I will drink coffee today / later today.

What is after Saturday?
After Saturday is Sunday.

What is after Sunday?
After Sunday is Monday.

What is after Monday?
After Monday is Tuesday.

What are you doing today? = Jin tian ni zuo shenme?

chi fan = eat / eating (xian zai) / ate (chi le )
I eat hot pot every day.
I am eating hot pot right now.
I ate hot pot. = wo chi le huo guo. = past tense

shu cai = vegetables ( veg tuh bulls )

rou = meat
zhu rou = pork
niu rou = beef
ji rou = chicken
eg. Do you like meat in your hot pot? Yes, I do like meat/pork/beef/chicken in my hot pot.

cao mei = strawberry

bo luo = pineapple
eg. Do you like pineapple in your hot pot? No, I don’t like pineapple in my hot pot.

teach / teaching / taught v. = jiao
eg. Do you teach yoga today? Yes, I do teach yoga.

Where do you teach yoga? I teach yoga on Jiaozhou Road near Changping Subway Station. 

How many years have you taught yoga?
I have taught yoga for 3 years.

How many years have you lived in Shanghai?
I have lived in Shanghai for 3 years.

How many years have you known Suzy?
I have known Suzy for 1 year.

1 fen zhong = 1 minute  / many minutes 

1 xiao shi = 1 hour / many hours 

1 tian = 1 day / many days 

1 zhou = 1 week / many weeks

1 yue = 1 month / many months
