eg: I can’t sleep because I have jetlag.

intricate – very complex with many parts

eg: The intricate pattern took the designer 4 years to finish.

ingenious – thinking in a way that most others would not think of

eg: The story was ingenious, how they played each scene in reverse and how his memories were revealed, were simply brilliant. (Memento, Movie)

redundant systems – some repeated or similar systems to make sure nothing fails

eg: The redundant systems emphasize information security.
