Different kinds of work.

I finished the work before I went back to work. (bad sentence)

freelance – temporary work, after the work is finished you are done

eg: I have never done any freelance work.

Adverbs – Usually spelled with …ly at the end of the word

eg: Carefully

Beautifully

Did – finished , usually recently

eg: I ate all 5kg of that pasta. It took me 3 hours.

eg: I finished a lot of paperwork this morning. It took me 4 hours.

Had Done – one thing finished in the past, then some time later another thing happened

eg: I had eaten all 5kg of that pasta. Four hours later I went dancing.

eg: I had finished the paperwork. And one hours later I went to have lunch.

Have Done – Still happening or not??? , at least one time in your life

eg: I have eaten 5kg of pasta. I will never do it again.

eg: I have eaten 4kg of pasta and still have one more kg to go.

eg: I have finished a lot of paperwork. I won’t do again that until next month.

Have Been Doing – still happening

eg: I have been eating 5kg of pasta for the past 2 hours.

eg: I have been finishing the paperwork. It will be done in one hour. (Near the end)

eg: I have been learning English for the past 4 months.
