11/11 and potential acquisition of Tik Tok by Walmart

11/11 now is quite a big festival for Chinese people. We think we can buy many things with cheap prices. / we can get a discount on many things.

There are a lot of discount festivals on Taobao and 11/11 is not special anymore.
You can see discounts happen every day.
For 11/11 Alibaba has their own games to let consumers win more coupons so they can play games and share to their friends and consumers can get the discount and you can use that on top of the existing one.

A lot of my colleagues they play the game and let us scan their code so we can win the game.
The rules are complicated and even you win the game the prize is not that much.

I will use xiaohongshu to buy skincare products and make up and I will use taobao to my basic stuff.
JD to buy equipment and electronics.
JD looks more trust platform to buy electronics.
I only buy the stuff on taobao but I think all the platforms have 11/11 discounts.
I feel it is ok because it is not necessary so I can use because the products with cheap price.

I will contact to the service people why my stuff didn’t arrive yet , I wait 2 days.

I think it can work but the process is quite difficult because first of all you have to develop the tech backend to link the platforms and then how to collaborate with the Tik Tok KOL.
