My hometown is in the countryside in Jiangsu province, so vegetables came from my father’s field. I remember I always ate vegetables. Only vegetables when I was a child. I think it was due to the money. Last week I talked about food with my daughter and my wife, what was my favourite food. I told them my favourite food is fried rice with egg and noodles with eggs and (qingcai) because when I was children a child I seldom ate fried rice with eggs, and noodles with eggs and qingcai. If we got a guest such as one of my aunt or one of my uncle, when they wanted to left leave my home, my parents always said “have some food” then they would make me some fried rice with eggs or noodles with eggs and qingcai. It was very delicious because I couldn’t eat it.
