Vocabulary

Shape (n): 1- the particular physical form or appearance of something. 2- good physical condition.
E.g.: These bricks are all different shapes.
E.g.: She runs six miles every day to help keep herself in shape.

Fit (adj): 1- healthy and strong, especially as a result of exercise.
E.g.: I jog to keep fit.

Fit (v): 1- to be the right size or shape for someone or something.
E.g.: That jacket fits you perfectly.

Spirit (n): 1- the way a person is feeling.
E.g.: I’ve been in high/low spirits (= feeling happy/sad) lately.
E.g.: Her spirits lifted/rose (= she felt happier) as she read the letter.

Feed (v): 1- to give food to a person, group, or animal.
E.g.: I usually feed the neighbor’s cat while she’s away.

Favor (n): 1- a kind action that you do for someone
E.g.: Could you do me a favor – would you feed my cat this weekend?

Approach (v): 1- to come near or nearer to something or someone in space, time, quality, or amount. 2- to deal with something:
E.g.: We could just see the train approaching in the distance.
E.g.: I’m not sure how to approach the problem.

Approach (n): 1- a way of considering or doing something.
E.g.: We need to find a new approach to solve the problem.

Approachable (adj): 1- friendly and easy to talk to.
E.g.: Graham’s always very approachable – why don’t you talk the problem over with him?
