Vocabulary

Reunion (n): 1- a social event, like a party, where a group of people who have not seen each other for a long time get together.
E.g.: We’re having a family reunion next week.
E.g.: The college has an reunion for old students every year.

Annual (adj): 1- happening once a year.
E.g.: We are having the office’s annual Christmas party next week.
E.g.: She goes on annual trips to Europe.
E.g.: People in China have the right to take 7 days of annual leave (年假).

Current (adj): 1- happening in the present time. 2- 当前
E.g.: Polly’s current company is Mitsubishi.
E.g.: Raph’s current job is at Smart English.
E.g.: My current boss is Jesse.
E.g.: Xi Jinping is the current President of China.

Former (adj): 1– happening in the past. 2- 前任的
E.g.: Hu Jintao is China’s former president.
E.g.: Polly likes both her current boss and her former boss.
E.g.: Polly prefers her current job than her former  job.

Wrong (adj): 1- not right, incorrect.
E.g.: Her answer was wrong.
E.g.: I think what she did to him was really wrong. She shouldn’t have done that.

Original:

The Mid-Autumn festival is one of traditional Chinese festivals. It is often held in September or October. During the festival family members get united and have mooncakes together. Every reunion I will be with my parents and I will make mooncakes for my parents and friends, such as bean paste mooncake, and egg yolk mooncake, etc. In addition, on the festival night my mom will prepare a lot of dishes that my father and I like to eat. After dinner we will watched the TV shows at home. To conclude, the Mid-Autumn Festival is very nice festival for Chinese people. I very like it.
