Vocabulary

Bunk bed (n): 1- one of two beds attached together, one on top of the other.
E.g.: The twins sleep in bunk beds.
E.g.: Can I sleep in the top bunk?

Infant (n): 1- a baby or a very young child.
E.g.: She has five children, the youngest of whom is still an infant.
E.g.: He was very unwell as an infant, and was not expected to live into adulthood.

Protect (v): 1- to keep someone or something safe from injury, damage, or loss.
E.g.: It’s important to protect your skin from the harmful effects of the sun.
E.g.: The monkey was protecting her babies.

Sanctuary (n): 1- protection or a safe place, especially for someone or something being chased or hunted.
E.g.: Illegal immigrants found/sought/took sanctuary in a local church.
E.g.: The chapel became a sanctuary for the refugees.
E.g.: If I want some peace and quiet, I take sanctuary in my study.
