Vocabulary
Plum Rain (n): 1- the East Asian rainy season, which happens every years roughly between the 15th of June and the 15th of July. 2- 梅雨
E.g.: The Plum Rains are here. I don’t like this time of the year.
Rot (v): 1- to (cause something to) decompose. 2- 腐烂
E.g.: The fruit had been left to rot on the trees.
Mold (n): 1- a soft, green or grey growth that develops on old food or on objects that have been left for too long in warm, wet air:
E.g.: There was mold on the cheese.
Mud (n): 1- earth that has been mixed with water.
E.g.: His car got stuck in the mud.
Mudslide (n): 1- a large mass of mud (wet earth) that suddenly and quickly moves down the side of a mountain or hill.
E.g.: The heavy rain caused a mudslide.
Flood (n): 1- a large amount of water covering an area that is usually dry.
E.g.: After the flood it took weeks for the water level to go down.
E.g.: The river is in flood (= water has flowed over its banks) again.
Suntan/Tan (n/v): 1- pleasantly brown skin caused by being in the hot sun:
E.g.: She’s was showing off her suntan in a little white dress.
E.g.: Chinese people do not like to tan.
Wrinkle (n): 1- a small line in the skin caused by old age:
E.g.: She has fine wrinkles around the eyes.
Radiation (n): 1- 辐射
Sunblock (n): 1- 防晒霜
Typhoon (n): 1- 台风
