Vocabulary

Make up for something (phr v): 1- to use as a replacement for something missing, lost, or lacking.
E.g.: I didn’t have to work on the weekend to make up for the holiday.

Downplay (v): 1-  to make something seem less important or less bad than it really is.
E.g.: The government has been trying to downplay the crisis.

Uncle (n): 1-  the brother of someone’s mother or father, or the husband of someone’s aunt or uncle:
E.g.: I have lots of uncles and aunts.

Cousin (n): 1-  a child of a person’s aunt or uncle, or, more generally, a distant (= not close) relation.
E.g.: My brother’s wife and I both had babies around the same time, so the cousins are very close in age.

Nuclear family (n): 1- a family consisting of two parents and their children, but not including aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. Vs. Extended family (n): 1- a family unit that includes grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, and uncles, etc. in addition to parents and children.
E.g.: My nuclear family is very small, consisting of only my and my parents, but I have a very large extended family.

I only attended this meeting for two times and every time my subordinate was responsible to present. – I have only attended this meeting twice, and both times my subordinate was responsible for making the presentation.

We still wait their feedbacks. – We are still waiting for their feedback

The space of the client’s warehouse is not enough. – The client doesn’t have enough space in their warehouse.
