Vocabulary

Beard (n): 1- the hair that some men allow to grow on the lower part of their face:
E.g.: He’s growing a beard.
E.g.: He shaved off his beard.

Handle (v): 1- to deal with, have responsibility for, or be in charge of. 2- a part of an object designed for holding, moving, or carrying the object easily:
E.g.: I thought he handled the situation very well.
E.g.: Some people are brilliant with computers, but have no idea how to handle (= behave with) other people.
E.g.: She grabbed the handle on the suitcase and left.
E.g.: I can’t pick the kettle up – the handle’s too hot.
E.g.: She turned the handle and slowly opened the door.

Candle (n): 1- a stick-shaped piece of wax with a wick (= piece of string) in the middle of it that produces light as it slowly burns
E.g.: Shall I light a candle?

Crash (v/n): 1- If a vehicle crashes or someone crashes it, it is involved in an accident, usually a serious one in which the vehicle is damaged and someone is hurt:
E.g.: The car crashed into a truck.
E.g.: The plane crashed into a mountainside.
