Carving (n): 1- a shape or pattern cut into wood or stone or the skill of doing this:
E.g.: The temple was decorated with beautiful stone carvings and sculptures.
Sculpture (n): 1- he art of forming solid objects that represent a thing, person, idea, etc. out of a material such as wood, clay, metal, or stone, or an object made in this way.
E.g.: Tom teaches sculpture at the local art school.
E.g.: The museum has several life-sized sculptures of people and animals.
Compound (n): 1-an area surrounded by fences or walls that contains a group of buildings:
E.g.: I live in a 8-building compound in Brooklyn.
E.g.: Me and my best friend live in the same compound.
E.g.: The embassy compound has been closed to the public because of a bomb threat.
