Vocabulary

Accommodate (v): 1- to be flexible and give what is needed to someone.
E.g.: The new policies fail to accommodate the disabled (残障人士).
E.g.: We always try to accommodate (= help) our clients with financial assistance if necessary.

Different (adj): 1- not the same.
E.g.: She wears something different every day.
E.g.: He’s different now that he’s been to college.
E.g.: We’re reading a different book this week.
E.g.: Emily is very/completely/entirely different from her sister.

Difficult (adj): 1- not easy.
E.g.: It will be very difficult to prove that they are guilty.
E.g.: Many things make it difficult for women to reach the top in US business.
E.g.: It is extremely difficult being a single parent.

Nerd (n): 1– a person, especially a man, who is not attractive and is awkward or socially embarrassing. 2- 书呆子
E.g.: He was a real nerd in high school – I can’t believe he’s so handsome now.

Bookworm (n): 1- a person who reads a lot
E.g.: I’m a sort of bookworm myself.

Stereotype (n): 1- a set idea that people have about what someone or something is like, especially an idea that is wrong:
E.g.: racial/sexual stereotypes
E.g.: He doesn’t conform fit the stereotype of a gay man.
E.g.: The characters in the book are just stereotypes.

Biography (n): 1– the life story of a person written by someone else:
E.g.: He wrote a biography of Hillary Clinton.

Grammar

At my twenties. – In my twenties.

Don’t too scare. – Don’t be too scared.

I can grow up in the company. – I can grow in the company.
