Vocabulary

Reserve (v): 1- to keep something for a particular purpose or time. 2- If you reserve something such as a seat on an aircraft or a table at a restaurant, you arrange for it to be kept for your use.
E.g.: I reserve Mondays for tidying my desk and answering letters.
E.g.: These seats are reserved for the elderly and women with babies.
E.g.: I reserved a double room at the Lamb Hotel.
E.g.: If you get there early, reserve me a seat/reserve a seat for me.
E.g.: I’m awfully sorry, but we’ve forgotten to reserve you a table.

Welcome (adj): 1-  If something is welcome, you are pleased to have or do it.
E.g.: The holiday was a welcome change/break/relief.
E.g.: She offered him the welcome chance/opportunity to do something different.
E.g.: A nice cup of tea would be very welcome.

Deposit (v/n): 1-  to put something valuable, especially money, in a bank or safe (= strong box or cupboard with locks). 2- ​to pay someone an amount of money when you make an agreement with that person to pay for or buy something, that either will be returned to you later, if the agreed arrangement is kept, or that forms part of the total payment:
E.g.: There’s a night safe outside the bank, so you can deposit money whenever you wish.
E.g.: I deposited £500 in my account this morning.
E.g.: When we moved in, we had to deposit $1,000 with the landlord in case we broke any of his things.
E.g.: You deposit 20 percent now and pay the rest when the car is delivered.
