Vocabulary

Scarf (n): 1- a strip, square, or triangle of cloth, worn around the neck, head, or shoulders to keep you warm or to make you look attractive:
E.g.: He had a woolen scarf around his neck.
E.g.: He was wearing a hat and scarf against the cold.

Blanket (n): 1- a flat cover made of wool or similar warm material, usually used on a bed
E.g.: I just got a new electric blanket, so I don’t feel cold at night anymore.
E.g.: She wrapped the baby in a blanket.
E.g.: She covered him up with a blanket.

Drain (v): 1- If you drain something, you remove the liquid from it, usually by pouring it away or allowing it to flow away, and if something drains, liquid flows away or out of it.
E.g.: Drain the pasta thoroughly.
E.g.: We drained the pond and filled it with fresh water.
E.g.: Drain (off) any liquid that is left in the rice.
E.g.: Don’t bother drying the pans – just leave them to drain.

Drain (n): 1- a hole in a bath, sink, etc. through which water flows away.
E.g.: Leaves are clogging up the drain in the backyard.
E.g.: Two kids were poking a stick into the drain.

Insured (adj): 1- having or being covered by and insurance.
E.g.: You cannot drive a car, unless it is registered and insured.
E.g.: I am currently insured under my company’s health insurance.
E.g.: There are still millions of uninsured people in America.
